Data requests and store disconnection
Last updated: 2026-10-23
Use this page to request access, correction or deletion of information handled by JetShipper’s Shopify or Amazon integrations, or to ask about disconnecting a store. Our privacy contact is privacy@jetshipper.com.
1. If you are a merchant
Write from your account email address where possible. Include the platform, store domain or seller identifier, your connection to that business and the action you are requesting. For an order-specific request, include the relevant order reference.
Tell us whether you want a copy of information, a correction, deletion, store disconnection or account closure. These are different actions. Do not send your password, authentication code, access token, payment-card details or unnecessary identity documents.
2. If you bought from a merchant
Contact the store that accepted your order first. The merchant can identify the order and coordinate requests concerning information we process for it. If you contact us directly, provide the store name, order reference and a contact address. We may need to involve the merchant and verify your identity or authority before acting.
3. Disconnecting a store
A merchant can revoke the platform authorization using the controls provided by Shopify or Amazon. For Shopify, uninstalling the app revokes its access; platform notifications then support the related cleanup process. For Amazon, remove the application authorization in the seller account’s application-management controls. Contact support if you need help locating the relevant connection.
Disconnecting stops future authorized synchronization. It does not itself cancel production, return money, close your JetShipper account or erase every historical record. Request those actions separately where needed. Do not disconnect solely as a substitute for an urgent order-cancellation request.
4. What deletion involves
We verify the request, identify the information involved and assess the applicable legal and platform requirements. Depending on the request, this can include personal order fields, personalization content, uploaded files, connection information and support records.
Any exception to deletion must have a specific basis in applicable law: a legal obligation to retain particular records or, where the law permits, the establishment, exercise or defence of a legal claim. Only the information necessary for that purpose may be retained, only for the period justified by that basis, and its use is restricted to that purpose. Stricter platform deletion requirements still apply. A dispute or an open production job does not by itself extend a deletion deadline.
We explain material limits or required retention when answering the request. Deletion from active records does not itself erase existing backup snapshots. Our integration privacy notice explains the delivery-based retention periods (30 days for Amazon orders, 90 days or until an open return or claim closes for other platforms) and what is erased.
5. Verification and response
We may ask for information needed to verify identity and authority through an appropriate channel. We respond according to applicable law and platform requirements. Shopify-originated requests follow the relevant platform process; their handling also depends on the merchant’s cooperation where a response is owed through the merchant.
